Prince "The Artist"

In the height of his fame Prince chose to remove his name and change it to the Love Symbol or “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince” or simply, “The Artist”. This was an act of liberation from the contractual bondage of his record label. A power move protecting artists rights and his own personal freedom. Prince was not only a genius he was a sovereign soul who strived for freedoms for ALL artists everywhere. This painting admirably exemplifies his free spirit as it exudes from the composition in luscious violet tendrils filled with passion and spiritual connectivity.
