Sizing Info

All BUA prints are made to order. Every print is produced only when an order is placed and a new home is secured for it. This process exists to have full control of the quality of each product and offer BUA collectors custom orders.

Bua’s curated art print collection is available in small, medium, or large paper and canvas sizes. These prints have been sized specifically to fit with common and readily available framing sizes, making it possible to purchase a frame directly from your local furniture or design store. BUT if you have any special request - let us know and we will work with you to see your vision through. Don’t see a size that works for your chosen space? No problem, let us create something custom for you. Do you have a paper border preference? Thin white border, extra wide border or no border at all? Let’s get creative.

WHAT ABOUT FRAMING?
What about framing?

Whichever size you choose, BUA art prints come in easy to find frame sizes. This gives you more options when shopping for a frame for your new art print. Ready made frames have become accessible and affordable, and available in more sizes than ever. Since custom framing isn’t an option for everyone, the Bua team has sifted through the internet and made sure that almost all of the print sizes we offer are available online. Custom framing may be required for some of the more dramatic panoramic artworks.

Bua’s Fine art prints use pigment based UltraChrome Epson K3 inks on acid free art paper and OBA free gallery quality canvas. This process ensures your new print remains color stable and fade resistant to enjoy for generations.

Our heavy weight Premium Archival Matte Paper prints should be framed either behind plexiglass or glass. So that you don’t have worry about finding an archival mat for your new print, we include a 2 inch white border around the art with Bua’s signature is in the bottom right corner of the white border. This way all you need is a frame. A simple poster frame will keep the print protected from dust, scratches and moisture. Since our inks and paper are archival and made to last, please do not place cardboard directly on the prints for prolonged periods of time. Cardboard will cause acid damage to your fine art print. If your poster frame came with a cardboard backer, simply replace it with foam core or an archival piece of mat board. You are all set!

Our gallery canvas is a polycotton, two over one weave premium canvas. Canvas prints are signed in the bottom right corner of the art image itself, like an original painting would be. Since canvas prints are coated with varsh and protected against moisture and scratching, you can display it without a traditional frame, no glass, plexi or molding required. The canvas art is simply stretched on stretcher bars without a traditional frame. The 2 inch extra white canvas is for stretching the piece onto stretcher bars, the image is positioned in the middle of the frame and the white borders are stretched over the wood and tucked away in the back out of view. Canvas stretching can be done at your local frame shop or art store. If you want something more elaborate, a floater frame is a popular modern framing option. Most places that stretch canvas can give you a price on floater frames too. Light weight floater frame will do the trick for those seeking to dress up their canvas piece further.

TRANSPORT AND SHIPPING

Fine art prints need to be treated with extra care. All prints are shipped UPS, rolled in a sturdy reusable art tube with the print surface covered by an acid-free fine tissue paper. Since packing materials are all acid free, your print is safe to be stored and transported in the tube until display arrangements are secured.

Custom framing is highly recommended for the Extra Large prints. There is no printed border, so the frame needs to fit perfectly and special care is needed to bring the print to its fullest potential in your space.

Please note that frames are not available here in this store. The prints will be sent either in specialised mailing tubes or in crushproof packaging. See the FAQ for more information on shipping.

The DJ

'The DJ' is a classic signature BUA piece. This classic urban art painting has sold more prints than any other print in modern art history, and remains one of the most omnipresent and popular paintings of all time.

The DJ spins his classic, Hip Hop vinyl into the midnight hours. He doesn't do it for the fame or fortune but for the love of music. He spends his days digging into the crates at old school record stores and his nights practicing his Turntablism-- scratching, beat juggling and cutting it up. Equipped with his two turntables and his DJ mixer. He is a master on the wheels of steel. He is also ethnically ambiguous paying homage to all the pioneers of the culture from OG's like Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Caz, DJ Cash Money, DJ Hollywood, Grand Mixer DXT, DJ Red Alert, to scratch masters like Invisibl Skratch Piklz DJ Q Bert, A-Trak, Mix Master Mike, DJ Flare, Shortkut, Z-trip, Cut Chemist and many many more.
